Your role at Clorox:
The Assistant Sales Manager - General Trade and Japanese Department Stores is responsible for manage distributors in Hong Kong for Clorox and Glad business. He/She needs to develop an integrated sales plan, AMPS objectives and the resources necessary to achieve the sales objectives, managing the Trade Fund within budget for the assigned distributors.In this role, you will:
1. Develop and implement the sales strategies:
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, demonstrating leadership, fostering open two-way communication, and contributing to successful teamwork that benefits both distributors and the company.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve assigned sales and profit targets.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with assigned distributors to drive business growth across General Trade Drug Stores and Japanese Department Stores.
- Ensure excellence in execution of promotional activities, including product assortment, pricing, merchandising, and shelf placement at the store level.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market coverage and grow the customer base.
- Conduct regular market visits to General Trade Drug Stores to enhance product distribution, monitor market dynamics, and maximize in-store visibility.
- Establish, track, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned distributors to ensure achievement of business objectives and continuous performance improvement.
2. Responsible for Sales forecast and Trade Fund management of the assigned distributors:
- Own the rolling sales forecast for assigned distributors, ensuring forecast accuracy and providing timely inputs to the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Manage trade fund investments and monitor spending to ensure effective budget utilization and compliance with approved trade fund allocations for assigned distributors.
3. Analytics & Category Expertise
- Analyze sales performance and market data to generate accurate, timely reports and actionable insights, enabling senior management to make informed decisions on business strategy, resource allocation, and growth opportunities.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret market intelligence, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for the General Trade (GT) channel.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions and trade programs by analyzing return on investment (ROI), sales performance, and market share impact, and provide recommendations to optimize future trade spending and promotional strategies.

Requirements:
- Years and Type of Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG sales with experience in Hong Kong and Macau general trade, Japanese department stores in Hong Kong
- Experience in manage distributors in Hong Kong is preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Diploma or above in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in FMCG industry / General Trade sector
- Self-driven and proactive, with a demonstrated history of meeting sales target and extensive distributor management experience
- Strong business insight and excellent negotiation skills
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese
- PC Knowledge in MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint and Chinese word processing
