Allied Universal is currently seeking for a Security Site Supervisor.
Security Supervisor – Commercial/Retail Facility
Location: Toronto West
Position: Full-Time (Continental Days-flexibility required)
Pay Rate: $26.50-$27.00/hour
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Security Supervisor to join our team at a prestigious commercial retail mall. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced security supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment and has a proven ability to lead, develop, and support a diverse team.
The successful candidate will be an effective leader with strong operational experience, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for tenants, retailers, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of the security team.
- Develop, manage, and maintain employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels while meeting operational requirements.
- Foster positive employee relations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to promote continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, retailers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure all security personnel consistently represent the highest standards of professionalism.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and customer concerns while ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of security personnel.
- Complete incident reports, performance documentation, and operational reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies, company procedures, and applicable legislation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the security industry, preferably in a commercial retail, shopping centre, or high-profile property environment.
- Demonstrated experience in employee scheduling and workforce management.
- Strong background in employee relations, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Exceptional customer service and client relationship management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven ability to lead by example while motivating and developing a high-performing team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling or workforce management software.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid First Aid/CPR.
Schedule Requirements:
This position requires flexibility to support a 24/7 operation. Candidates must be available to work:
- Days
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Continental Rotation
- Additional hours as required to support operational needs and emergency situations
