Overview:The Plant 3D Information Manager is primarily responsible for managing Autodesk Plant 3D models and associated data, including P&ID development, across complex industrial projects. The role also supports BIM integration to ensure cross-disciplinary coordination and digital delivery. Emphasis is placed on compliance with ISO 15926 for data interoperability and ISO 19650 for structured information management throughout the project lifecycle particularly in Industrial, M&M, Power, and Nuclear sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and management of BIM processes and Plant 3D modeling across multidisciplinary teams.
Develop and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and ensure adherence to ISO 19650 and project-specific standards.
Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) and ensure accurate data exchange between stakeholders.
Lead the setup, development, and maintenance of Autodesk Plant 3D models for piping, instrumentation, and process systems.
Ensure model accuracy, version control, and adherence to project-specific standards and workflows.
Coordinate the creation of intelligent 3D models for piping, equipment, civil, structural, and electrical systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, and other tools.
Facilitate integration of 3D models from Plant 3D and other applications with other platforms (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360, asset management systems).
Conduct clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks Manage or similar platforms.
Integrate data from P&IDs, Piping and other systems into the BIM environment.
Manage construction deliverables such as isometrics, general arrangement drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
Provide training and support to project teams on BIM tools and workflows.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure model accuracy and data integrity.
Support digital twin and asset information delivery for operations and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in plant design using Autodesk Plant 3D and proven experience in BIM management for Industrial, Mining and Power projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Strong understanding of engineering documentation, P&IDs, and 3D model integration.
Knowledge of P&ID standards, Piping material specifications and standards, Data standards including ISO 19650 and ISO 15926.
Familiarity with Digital Twin concepts and integration workflows.
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
Preferred Certifications
Autodesk Certified Professional (Plant 3D or Revit).
BIM Management or ISO 19650 certification.
