  • Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with the option to buy 5 more)

What You’ll Do

  • Produce high-quality electrical and instrumentation designs across LV, ELV, and hazardous areas (ATEX/IEC 60079)
  • Interpret and develop detailed drawings, schematics, and design documentation
  • Carry out design calculations using tools such as AMTECH and Dialux
  • Occasionally attend local sites for surveys and kick-off meetings
  • Mentor junior EC&I engineers (for senior candidates)
  • Collaborate with other engineers and contribute to HAZOPs and design reviews

What Our Client Is Looking For

Essential:

  • 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification
  • At least 3 years’ experience in electrical or EC&I design
  • Experience with hazardous area design (COMPEX 8–12 preferred)
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of G17/G35 and IEC 60079 standards
  • Gas sector experience
  • Commissioning or inspection background
  • Professional registration (IEng/CEng) or working towards it

This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to help shape the future of energy while building a fulfilling, flexible career.
