Your Internship Program

Atlassian’s Intern programs combine hands-on technical training, professional growth, dedicated mentorship, and strong social connections. To make the most of this high-impact experience, all interns are required to relocate to and be based in Atlassian India’s designated hub, i.e. Bengaluru, for the entire duration of the internship. Being together in person helps you immerse yourself in onboarding, maximise learning, collaborate closely, build meaningful relationships, and experience Atlassian’s culture in action.

Your Future Team

You will work closely with researchers, engineers, and program/project managers to address innovative challenges. This experience offers you technical mentorship and guidance, promoting daily learning and the development of practical skills. You will gain real-world experience, a deeper understanding of the industry, and the chance to build valuable connections. Collaborating with your team, you will design and implement a significant solution for a Machine Learning problem. At the conclusion of your internship, you will have the opportunity to present your work to AI-ML leadership.

• Focus on Machine Learning applications and ideas for recommendation and personalisation

• Build machine learning and predictive models to solve product and growth problems.

• Translate business problems into technical solutions; deliver robust, low-bug software artifacts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deploy models that create measurable value.

Compensation

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to write clean, efficient code with minimal bugs.

• Familiarity with software engineering principles around testing, code reviews and deployment.

• Proficiency with one of the object-oriented programming languages, such as Python or Java or equivalent

• Practical knowledge related to building and adapting algorithms for machine learning, AI and related areas

• Real passion for collaborating with colleagues to build technical solutions to hard problems.

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ML libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, CoreFlow, Sklearn, Huggingface, etc.

• Exposure to LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is a bonus.

• Research-focused Internships in Machine Learning and a demonstrable record of publishing academic research in peer-reviewed venues

Qualifications:

• 2028 graduate

• 6+ CGPA (or equivalent)

• M.Tech, Dual Degree (BE + M.Tech)/ (B.Tech + M.Tech)/ (BS + MS), Integrated M.Tech Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics & Computation, Machine Learning & Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent

• No current/active backlogs
