About Assurance services:  

 

The Firm's Assurance Services provides assurance on the financial performance and operations of a client’s business, helps businesses improve external financial reporting and adapt to new regulatory requirements as per state laws/international standards. The Assurance group can also help organizations report externally on non-financial information, strengthen its corporate governance procedures, and achieve social and economic goals related to corporate sustainability. Financial audits provide an independent opinion on a company's financial report and are a critical element in the capital markets system.  

 

ABOUT CMAAS 

 

Capital Market and Accounting Advisory Services is a dedicated global team of professionals that provides high-value advisory services under IFRS, Indian GAAP and Ind AS along with capital markets services. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Roles & Responsibilities (essential functions and responsibilities of the job): 

 

  • Oversee Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial close and reporting cycles.  

  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) operations, driving efficiency, control, and accuracy across end-to-end processes.  

  • Monitor and enhance working capital management, including aged debtors and creditors analysis, to optimize cash flow.  

  • Implement best practices and process improvements in reconciliation, R2R, AR, and AP to enhance automation and compliance with internal controls.  

  • Support clients in ERP implementation and system transformation projects, including design, configuration, and testing of finance modules.  

  • Advise clients on accounting and reporting implications during ERP transitions to ensure accurate mapping of chart of accounts, data migration, and process alignment.  

  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to integrate financial reporting requirements into ERP solutions. 

  • Drive post-implementation reviews to ensure ERP systems are effectively supporting accounting and reporting objectives.  

  • Manage and mentor teams, providing technical guidance, project oversight, and performance feedback.  

  • Build and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on complex financial and accounting issues. 

  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of all project deliverables in accordance with firm methodologies and client expectations. 

Mandatory skill sets: 

 

  • Graduate with 15+ years or CA with 10+ years of experience in AP role with good team leading experience. 

  • Experience of managing Indian GAAP / IFRS GAAP conversion projects 

Preferred skill sets: 

 

  • Additional qualification of CPA, ACCA, and other post-graduation in accounting will be an added advantage 

  • Focus on identifying and developing business opportunities and managing relationships 

  • Project and team management 

  • Ability to read, understand and apply technical accounting standards 

  • Supervise projects, develop and implement solutions 

  • Coach junior team members, encourage technical excellence and learning 

  • Excellent communication skills and should be flexible to travel 

  • Experience of working on Indian GAAP / IFRS conversion engagements in the past 

  • Quick learner and manages a team well 

  • Ability to read, understand and apply technical accounting standards 

  • Manage/execute projects, develop and implement solutions 

  • Identify and develop business opportunities and manage relationships 

  • Coach junior team members, encourage technical excellence and learning 

  • Well versed with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

 

Years of experience required: 

 

  • Graduate with 15+ years or CA with 10+ years of experience in AP role with good team leading experience.

  • Finance Graduate or Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
