Intern - Analytical Sciences (Protein Science)

Minhang, Shanghai

As the successful candidate, you will join the Analytical Sciences team and be responsible for the preparation and analysis of relevant animal- and plant-based samples, including protein/peptide-related SDS-PAGE, enzymatic digestion, chromatography, and mass spectrometry analysis.

Your key responsibilities

  • Independently prepare samples for analysis, such as preparation and separation of animal- and plant-based protein/peptide samples, routine biochemical analysis, proteomics, and peptidomics analysis.
  • After training, independently operate relevant analytical instruments and perform data analysis according to SOPs.
  • Accurately and promptly record experimental information.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow laboratory safety rules.

You bring

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Protein Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Science, or a related discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and a strong interest in laboratory-based analytical research.
  • Experience with protein-related experiments is preferred, such as protein separation and purification, qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience operating LC/MS or other analytical instruments is preferred.
  • Careful, responsible, and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow SOPs and laboratory safety requirements.
  • Available for a full-time internship of at least three months.
