Global Business Services

Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview*

Global Finance was set up in 2007 as a part of the CFO Global Delivery strategy to provide offshore delivery to Line of Business and Enterprise Finance functions. The capabilities hosted include Accounts Payable, General Accounting & Reconciliations, Management Reporting & Analysis, Research & Analytics, Financial Transaction Processing, Finance Systems Support & Regulatory reporting. Over the years, the scope of Global Finance has been expanded to include operations for other enterprise control functions like Human Resources and Risk and Compliance.

The CFOC (CFO Change) team, which is part of the COO & Governance organization within CFO division, delivers finance projects and technology solutions for the Bank of America (BAC) enterprise and also supports Line of Business (LOB) projects that impact our core finance and general ledger applications.  The CFO Change team is responsible for overall program/project management, business analysis and requirements, functional design, testing, organization readiness and deployment activities.

Job Description*

Candidate should be able to quickly understand the current system architecture and provide change support. Candidate should have good understanding of GBGM subledger architecture and Valuation Control processes. Candidate should be able to understand the user (finance) requirement and should be able to translate it to development team. Candidates should have good understanding of Global Markets Products/systems and should have an interest in working in projects as individual contributor.

This role is for a Business Analyst (BA) responsible for the delivery of medium-to-large Valuation Control/ finance change projects in the GBGM group. The role works closely with Global Technology and Operations, CFO and LOB stakeholders. The candidate will join the department in Gurugram (India) to support delivery of the in-flight initiatives.

Responsibilities*

The VC BA will serve as a key interface between business and technology, with responsibilities including:

• Driving remediation of gaps identified in the IPV end-to-end analysis in partnership with BFC teams
• Participating in planning and prioritization discussions to ensure alignment on critical functionality delivery
• Partnering with GVG/BFC stakeholders to define and document detailed business and technical requirements
• Coordinating UAT execution with end users to ensure timely and effective validation
• Identifying and prioritizing system deficiencies impacting LOBs and driving resolution

Foundational skills*

• Prior experience in a BFC role with hands-on involvement in IPV report generation
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to operate within a global environment working with stakeholders from multiple locations and time zones
• Proven ability to partner effectively across business and technology teams
• Self-starter with strong organization and attention to detail
• Ability to influence and drive outcomes across stakeholders

 Desired skills

• Prior hands-on experience working within Agile methodologies / frameworks.
• Experience of working within challenging and dynamic organizational contexts
