Role Overview
Data sits at the strategic core of modern Supply Management, driving savings, enabling supplier negotiations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and upholding critical sustainability and safety commitments. This role plays a pivotal part in elevating business intelligence by translating complex, multi-source data into actionable commercial insights and visually compelling reports. Designed to streamline administrative workflows for regional category buyers, the position bridges technical execution with strategic enablement. The successful candidate will leverage established data architectures and analytical frameworks to accelerate spend transparency, empower data-driven decision-making, and promote digital tool adoption across international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Engineering & Blending: Integrate, clean, and model heterogeneous datasets from diverse system environments—including APIs, relational databases, and manual files—using SQL, Python, and advanced Excel.
- Business Intelligence & Visualization: Design, build, and maintain core Power BI dashboards and strategic KPIs to support high-stakes regional tenders, benchmark expenditure, and identify commercial opportunities.
- Stakeholder Enablement & Process Automation: Streamline manual data extraction for procurement teams, automate reporting workflows, and deliver training initiatives to foster a self-service analytical culture across global divisions.
- Governance & Solution Feedback: Conduct stringent output quality checks and collaborate with product owners to identify data architecture gaps, directly influencing the long-term roadmap of spend analytics solutions
- Cross-Border Collaboration: Partner with regional data champion networks and cross-functional leaders to ensure data consistency, drive compliance, and align reporting with strategic business priorities.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in Power BI development, database querying via SQL, programming/scripting (e.g., Python), and advanced data manipulation in Microsoft Excel.
- Domain & Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data modeling, warehousing, and analytics within a multi-country Supply Chain or Procurement ecosystem.
- Methodologies & Governance: Strong background in data quality validation, agile development frameworks, and translating multi-domain business requirements into structured technical solutions.
- Soft Skills & Mindset: Highly autonomous and solution-oriented self-starter with excellent commercial acumen, proven customer focus, and the capacity to foster innovation in complex operational environments.
- Language Abilities: Full professional fluency in English is required; working knowledge of additional European languages (such as French, Italian, or Spanish) represents a distinct advantage.
