Your New Role:
The Analyst, Tax Systems is a hands-on, techno-functional, entry-to-early-career role responsible for reviewing, resolving, and testing tax systems tickets related to OneSource or other tax engines, SAP Ariba, and SAP S/4HANA. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to build deep tax systems expertise through hands-on ticket resolution and testing, while developing a working knowledge of SAP Ariba and S/4HANA.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Ticket Review & Resolution
- Review incoming tax systems tickets to understand the issue and determine the appropriate resolution approach
- Resolve tax configuration and posting issues under guidance from senior team members, escalating complex issues as needed
- Learn and apply tax posting concepts across SAP and non-SAP systems to support timely ticket resolution
Testing
- Test resolved tickets to confirm fixes work as expected before closure
- Help with testing of tax scenarios for projects, upgrades, and other planned changes across OneSource, Ariba, and S/4HANA
- Support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for tax systems changes
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Help gather and document business and functional requirements through interviews and other methods
- Maintain requirements documentation, including use cases, user stories, and functional specifications
Communication & Continuous Learning
- Communicate proactively with team members and stakeholders on ticket status and open issues
- Demonstrate agility and a growth mindset - actively seek out opportunities to learn new systems, tools, and processes
- Continuously build tax and systems knowledge to take on increasing scope over time
Qualifications & Experiences:
- 2+ years of prior experience in a related field (media, entertainment, business development or streaming services industry experience a plus)
- 2-4 years of hands-on implementation or operational experience with Tax solutions
- 1-2 years of transactional processing and operations assurance experience
- Experience with OneSource or another tax engine
- Techno-functional aptitude - comfortable learning both the functional tax concepts and the underlying system configuration
- Hands-on orientation - comfortable owning tickets end-to-end from review through resolution and testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, agile attitude with a strong willingness to learn new tools, systems, and processes
- Undergraduate degree required in computer science, mathematics or business sciences
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expert user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to prepare all documents, presentations, graphs, briefings, and worksheets
- A passion for accuracy and translating insights into a compelling narrative; able to maintain a balance between the details and the larger picture
Not Required but preferred experience:
- Experience with SAP Ariba or SAP S/4HANA
- Knowledge of e-invoicing solutions such as Pagero, Edicom, or SOVOS
- Experience with ticket management systems such as ServiceNow
- Experience developing in Excel and facilitating business discussions
- Experience working in a national or global company
- Comfortable working in a highly iterative, somewhat unstructured environment
