Description
Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Cycle Counter. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 3:45pm. The rate for this position is $19.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. ## What you’ll do:
The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy and material control activities for the Eaton PCD El Paso, TX site. This role performs daily cycle counts, validates material locations, investigates inventory discrepancies, and supports reconciliation activities across raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, warehouse locations, production areas, and receiving/put-away processes. The position helps maintain inventory integrity through accurate transactions, disciplined verification, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement actions aligned with Eaton safety, quality, and operational standards.
Eaton’s PCD El Paso facility manufactures electrical distribution products and supports panelboard, switchboard, and related power distribution operations. The site operates in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment where inventory accuracy, safe material handling, system discipline, and timely support to production are critical to customer service, operational continuity, and quality performance.
In this function you will:
- Perform daily cycle counts according to assigned schedules and inventory priorities while verifying inventory accuracy across warehouse, production, supermarket, Kanban, and other material storage locations.
- Verify inbound materials, receiving accuracy, put-away completion, and proper inventory storage locations.
- Identify, document, research, reconcile, and escalate inventory discrepancies, including quantity variances, missing or damaged material, incorrect locations, and transaction errors.
- Utilize AS400, scanners, trackers, spreadsheets, and other site tools to record counts, validate transactions, update inventory information, and support inventory accuracy reporting.
- Support root-cause analysis for inventory inaccuracies and recommend corrective or preventative actions to improve process discipline while tracking cycle count results, variance trends, recurring issues, and inventory accuracy metrics.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, production, quality, planning, finance, and materials teams to resolve inventory-related issues and support audits, physical inventories, item- location maintenance, PFEP/EPEI execution, material flow improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all Eaton safety, PPE, 5S+, material handling, and EHS requirements, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary and business-sensitive information; and support cross-training and other business needs as assigned.
## Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6 months of forklift operation experience.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, receiving, shipping, warehouse operations, material handling, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work onsite at the Eaton PCD facility in El Paso, TX.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Oracle, Mapics/AS400, scanners, inventory trackers, or other warehouse management/inventory systems.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
- Experience investigating inventory discrepancies, transaction errors, negative balances, missing material, damaged material, or incorrect item-location records.
- Experience supporting physical inventory, cycle count programs, receiving audits, put-away validation, or production material replenishment.
- Experience with electrical distribution manufacturing, warehouse material flow, Kanban, supermarkets or continuous improvement practices.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with safety, quality, 5S+, and standard work expectations.

- Ability to analyze discrepancies, identify patterns, and recommend practical process improvements.

- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 20-25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including warehouse aisles, receiving areas, production areas, and around electrical equipment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and any additional PPE required by the work area.
- Ability to work safely around forklift, pallet jack, cart, and pedestrian traffic.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets, proprietary information, inventory records, and business-sensitive data.
- Ability to support overtime, schedule changes, or additional assignments as required by business needs.
