Description

The Lead Designer, Corporate Communications is the dedicated design partner for our Corporate and Internal Communications teams. Sitting within the Creative team in Marketing, this role is responsible for setting the creative standard across a broad and high-visibility portfolio.

In this role, you will blend exceptional craft with strategic thinking and creative leadership. You'll shape scalable design systems, deliver polished assets, and mentor designers across the Creative team. The materials you produce represent the company at its most visible and consequential moments, both internally and externally.

What You'll Do

Design & Creative Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end design of a wide range of Corporate and Internal Comms assets, including all-hands and town hall presentations, email and newsletter templates, digital signage, intranet assets, print materials, sustainability reports, annual reports, quarterly board decks, and investor day materials

  • Set and uphold the creative standard for all Corporate and Internal Comms design output, ensuring every asset reflects the company's brand with precision, sophistication, and strategic intent

  • Build and maintain scalable design systems, template libraries, and toolkits that enable consistency, efficiency, and quality

  • Translate complex business narratives, financial data, and strategic messaging into clear, compelling, and visually sophisticated communications

  • Collaborate with our Video & Motion Graphics team to brief, art direct, and ensure visual cohesion on any video or animated assets

  • Champion best practices in design craft, accessibility, and visual storytelling across the team

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Serve as the primary creative partner to the Corporate and Internal Comms teams, building a deep understanding of their editorial calendars, strategic priorities, and high-stakes moments

  • Work directly and confidently with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders on high-visibility deliverables: board decks, investor presentations, and external reports

  • Manage your own project intake and prioritization, balancing rigorous quality standards with the pace and demands of a busy comms calendar

Mentorship & Collabortion

  • Mentor and provide structured creative feedback to Senior and Mid-level Designers within the Creative team, helping to develop their skills and raise collective output quality

  • Facilitate and contribute to cross-team design reviews that elevate creative thinking and execution standards

  • Act as the connective tissue between Corporate and Internal Comms and the broader Creative and Brand teams, ensuring all work is consistent with and reinforces the company's external brand identity

  • Champion continuous improvement across creative systems, tools, and processes, independently optimizing workflows and staying ahead of emerging design trends

  • Adopt AI-enhanced practices to transform our creative engine:using generative tools to accelerate high-quality asset production, automating repetitive design and writing tasks, and leveraging performance metrics to drive data-informed decisions for maximum revenue impact

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong craft across a range of formats, ideally including presentations, editorial or report design, and corporate communications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of relevant career experience and expertise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing high-stakes, executive-level materials — such as board decks, investor presentations, annual reports, or sustainability reports

  • Expert proficiency in Figma (including component libraries and auto-layout) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain scalable design systems or template libraries

  • Experience working at a company of significant scale (2,000+ employees), where design systems and operational rigour matter

  • Experience in a B2B SaaS or tech environment

  • Background in brand design or visual identity systems

  • Familiarity with internal or corporate comms platforms (e.g. Staffbase, Simpplr, Confluence, or similar)

  • Experience mentoring designers or leading creative reviews

  • Strong visual storytelling skills, particularly for financial data, narrative, and executive-level communications

  • Highly self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities and operate autonomously in a fully remote environment

  • Confident communicating design rationale and creative strategy to senior, non-design stakeholders

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
