Manages clinical colleagues and the processes that govern physical, occupational, speech, and athletic therapy departments. Manages the daily operations of the clinic. Manages and monitors insurance authorizations and denials. Manages all human resource management functions (including staffing, hiring, coaching/counseling, performance management and reviews, disciplinary action up to and including termination), purchasing and finance functions, timecard approval, financial recovery tasks, patient satisfaction, colleague satisfaction, program development, as well as other administrative duties. Assists with the planning, development, and implementation of clinic programs, services, and systems. Ensures all regulatory standards are met including clinical care, billing, and documentation. Provides patient care per their professional license. This position reports to the Director and will oversee physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, occupational therapist assistants, athletic trainers, speech therapists, and rehab business office coordinators (in the absence of the Rehab Business Office Manager).
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational program in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology related field.
State of Michigan Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy license.
3 years in a leadership role (formal or informal) in a Rehabilitation clinic.
What the Rehab Manager III will do:
Manages the daily operations of the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Athletic Therapy Clinic including Rehab Business Office Assistants (in the absence of the Rehab Business Office Manager) such as staffing and directing colleagues and workflow.
Monitors and determines all regulatory standards are met for clinical care and clerical functions including documentation and Joint Commission requirements.
Interviews, hires, orients, coaches, provides corrective actions, provides performance management and termination of colleagues working in the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy Clinic.
Manages and monitors the process for insurance authorizations and denials to assure payment.
Works collaboratively with Rehab Business Office Manager to manage the clinical flow of facility.
Creates and manages the annual budget ensuring strong financial performance.
Responsible for timecard entries and ensuring that payroll is accurate.
Reports monthly statistics to the Director level for accurate reporting.
Meets all Rehab Department leadership expectations by leading and attending leader huddles, attends Kata coaching cycles and participates in monthly Rehab leader meetings.
