Finance and Accounting ManagerAbout the Role
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to take ownership of financial reporting, governance, statutory compliance, and internal controls within a complex and dynamic business environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making.
As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all financial information reported to Corporate, external auditors, and regulatory bodies is complete, accurate, and fully compliant with US GAAP, IFRS, and UK GAAP. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, proven leadership capability, and experience operating within a project-based or contracting environment.

Responsibilities
Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial records and general ledger activity in compliance with regulatory standards of US & UK
Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Lead, team of accounting professionals and manage oversight of team in Chennai; delegate tasks, provide guidance
Analyse and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts; identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Ensure internal financial reporting meets the needs of both business operations and corporate leadership
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during annual audits, and other compliance engagements
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Participate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives to enhance accounting operations and financial transparency
What we are looking for
Essential
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience of working in a Matrix Organisation and contracting and project environment
Leadership experience – Prior supervisory roles or experience leading teams
Global collaboration – Ability to oversee and provide guidance to the Chennai team remotely
Excel – Strong proficiency in financial data analysis and reporting
Technical accounting mastery – Deep knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Audit liaison skills – Familiarity with both internal and external audit processes
Microsoft Dynamics proficiency – Hands-on experience with financial ERP systems such as SAP, Costpoint
Process improvement mindset – Passion for optimizing and refining accounting workflows
Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance
Desirable
Experience working within a publicly listed organisation or US-based multinational company

Due to the nature of the projects we work on, restrictions relating to UK residency and nationality will apply. This includes a minimum of five years' continuous residency in the UK and the ability to meet the nationality requirements associated with the relevant security clearance level.
