Description
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Prepares forms, orders, contracts, etc. to secure materials, services, tools, equipment and parts.
2. Prepares and maintains warehouse and inventory records using corporate accounting principles and practices.
3. Arranges for disposition of scrap and salvage material, and shipment of material and equipment.
4. Prepares reports on the status and availability of material and services to support plant requirements.
5. Verifies invoices related to contracts for services and prepares for payment.
6. When necessary, originates and prepares documentation for payment of invoices and freight charges.
7. Contacts engineering, procurement, and vendors' representatives to discuss material, tools and equipment transactions such as delivery, cost, availability and substitutions as directed.
8. Accesses and inputs data using related computer systems.
9. Operates office equipment and terminals to complete duties.
10. Performs such other related duties as assigned or as necessary.
11. Prepares applications for hauling permits for equipment, transformers, etc., consistent with State permit regulations.
12. Verifies new and retired facilities by on-the-job check and prepares documentation.
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Satisfactory performance in the Stockman-Generation position.
2. Working knowledge of material and equipment requirements of power plants.
3. Knowledge of warehouse procedures and practices necessary to acquire and dispose of materials and equipment.
4. Knowledge of computer applications necessary to perform duties.
5. Knowledge of company safety rules applicable to work performed and area assigned.
6. Knowledge of accounting and record keeping practices and procedures.
7. Ability to communicate effectively.
8. Ability to understand drawings, specifications and instructions related to material requests.
9. Successful completion of the Data Entry Test.
