Responsibilities:
As part of MPLX, a midstream company majority owned by MPC, Natural Gas & Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Services interns and co-ops support real projects and routine operations and maintenance, such as:
- Project scope development, including estimating, scheduling, design, contractor engagement and construction oversight.
- DOT-regulated pipeline integrity and maintenance programs.
- Field work at pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, gas processing plants and related facilities.
Interns and co-ops assist company professionals by supporting midstream initiatives across our Natural Gas & NGL Services operations, including:
- Automation/controls engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Process engineering
- Process optimization engineering
- Project engineering
- Operations engineering
- Reliability engineering
- Pipeline integrity
- Corrosion
- Measurement services
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum/Natural Gas, or Electrical Engineering.
- Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience.
- Strong academic performance.
- Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
- Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
- Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work.
- Will require time spent in the field monitoring and managing activities as required in various areas of our midstream natural gas and light crude facilities.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States with the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Available for multiple work terms is preferred.
- MIN - $33.54 per hour / MAX - $43.23 per hour
