With the highly successful launch of Vyndamax for transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CM), Pfizer has solidified its position as a global leader in ATTR-amyloidosis. As a top U.S. commercial priority and an anchor brand within the Specialty Care Business Unit, Vyndamax now enters a pivotal phase of its lifecycle, with multiple competitors having entered the market in the last year.

The Cardiac Amyloidosis Thought Leader Engagement Liaison-East will play a critical role in helping to develop an overarching commercial engagement strategy for Vyndamax. This individual will create a first-class experience for ATTR-CM with external stakeholders advising and engaging with the Vyndamax team. S/he will be responsible for: establishing relationships; gathering insights on treatment patterns and habits; providing insights to inform and help the development and execution of HCP commercial strategies/tactics. This role will partner closely with current Thought Leader Engagement Leads, Medical Colleagues, the Brand Competitive Lead, and other Peer to Peer Lead teams.

What You Will Achieve and How You Will Achieve it

The Cardiac Amyloidosis Thought Leader Engagement Liaison-East will:

  • Lead and develop, in partnership with key functions within the commercial team a ONEPfizer approach that fully integrates Opinion Leader & key stakeholder engagement plans inclusive of physicians, KOLs, researcher, and patients to maximize the life cycle of Vyndamax in the US, and the broader Rare Cardiology space
  • Obtain therapeutic insights from Opinion Leaders and key stakeholders to help advance brand strategies
  • Lead and direct insight-gathering from 1:1 engagement, small group meetings, and national and regional advisory boards for actionable commercial implementation
  • Oversee the development of Opinion Leader and key stakeholder engagement metrics such as post-engagement evaluation forms, post-congress Opinion Leader / PFE meeting evaluations, and annual top-tier opinion leader industry benchmark survey
  • Establish and maintain organizational processes and guidelines (in partnership with legal/compliance) to ensure a consistent and compliant approach to Opinion Leader and key stakeholder engagement
  • Create and maintain up-to-date Vyndamax Opinion Leader & Key Stakeholder list, and track engagements
  • Coordinate and help facilitate regional, national and global speaking engagement opportunities (symposia, product theaters, speaker tours)
  • Facilitate connecting Opinion Leaders and key stakeholders to the appropriate internal subject matter experts, as needed
  • Strategic Projects
  • Based on insights from Opinion Leaders, key stakeholders, and market research, develop proposals for strategic US promotional projects that drive innovation while meeting key business objectives.
  • In collaboration with cross-functional partners, develop a plan for Opinion Leader & key commercial engagements at national and regional congresses that helps align commercial presence and includes clear objectives and discussion points
  • Develop actionable metrics for Tafamidis presence at key congresses/meetings, and track vs. goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

  • BA/BS - degree required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, marketing, medical affairs, clinic, strategy, new product launch, customer engagement or business development in the pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology industries. and proven ability to build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with key external and internal
  • Current KOL, MD relationships in the ATTR-CM space, tafamidis experience preferred along the East Coast.
  • Rare ATTR Cardiology Field (Medical or Commercial) Experience
  • Strong experience and knowledge of the amyloidosis diagnostic journey and tafamidis clinical data.
  • Proven self-starter with leadership skills and the ability to work in a cross functional matrix environment, with an ability to lead by influence
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including capabilities for uncovering deep customer insights, and assessing complex business/customer situations and translating insights into actionable plans.
  • Track record of working well across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience representing novel opportunities/brand plans to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated creativity in development and partnership collaborations on innovative programs.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills- thinks & communicates with the audience's needs first (i.e. ad boards)
  • Frequent travel is required which will likely be up to 50%+ of time
  • Experience in the design, development and execution of opinion leader engagement programs inclusive of tracking performance against goals and course correcting when needed

Nice-to-Have

  • Advanced degree preferred. Science or clinical background a plus.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
