The International Personal Banking (IPB) Advisory Head is a senior management professional responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees, grow sales and client base in coordination with the consumer sales team . The overall objective of this role is to lead the full operation of the IPB branch, focusing on Cross-border High Net Worth clients.  IPB branch manager will oversee frontline international wealth advisory, cross-border asset allocation, cross border payment & settlement. And drive comprehensive sales grow, build customer loyalty, and recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives and may include the management of activities by external organizations, One-City domestic and cross boarder partners, and the direct management of individuals and sales teams. While ensuring full compliance with local and overseas regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planning and budgeting activities for branch, manage and control human resources, technological and supply needs

  • Provide individual feedback to staff and management; perform training and hold one-on-one coaching sessions.

  • Perform offshore wealth services (OWS) training to new on-boarding bankers and any relevant ongoing policy enhancement training to the team.

  • Coordinate team sessions with sales executives assigned to the branch, drive focus on client experience and team morale

  • Coordinate product and service training, oversee implementation of process improvements/efficiencies

  • Maintain relationship with key clients, business partners and stakeholders, ensure customers receive timely updates on cases, and may include cross-border client satisfaction and retention tasks.

  • Prioritize and coordinate daily tasks to ensure operating efficiencies are achieved, including call and email queue and any other authorized communication channel monitoring.

  • Coordinate with facilities to ensure adequacy of infrastructure and general upkeep of the branch

  • Execute financial activities for branch including overdraft authorizations, new account openings, and negotiating interest rates

  • Manage control and review of files, ensure compliance with Anti-money Laundering and Know Your Customer compliance policies.

  • Require familiarity of offshore account opening requirement, cross-border fund transfer regulatory policies, with solid risk awareness and compliance judgement.

  • Control and follow up on adherence to regional operations procedures; ensure correct execution of the commercial strategy, manage cross-boarder activities strictly follow the updated offshore wealth services (OWS) rules.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

  • Possess strong cross-cultural communication, negotiation skills, with excellent inclusive management capabilities to maintain harmonious and compatible operation amid cultural diversity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business Management, Economics, Finance or similar field

  • 10 years+ of relevant experience required

  • Previous experience in management of banking, sales or client service preferred

  • Previous experience in product management, procedures and regulations preferred

  • Proven management skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Consistently demonstrates analytic skills

  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) [ and/or Certified Banker (CB)] (include as appropriate) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage
