Description

Overview

poppi is looking for an Art Director to bring our campaigns to life and translate what's happening in culture into poppi's next big visual moment. Reporting to the Creative Director, you'll help lead and execute the brand's visual identity across digital, social, and IRL touchpoints — concepting, designing, and delivering elevated creative for a packed launch calendar of new flavors, culture moments, and always-on social/influencer content.

This role is equal parts strategic and hands-on. You think big picture, connecting visuals back to 360 campaign narrative, and you're just as comfortable heads-down in the file, to slay a same-day social moment. You have your finger on the pulse of pop culture, a sharp eye for organic trends, and the instinct to know what's worth jumping on right now versus what to let pass. You live and breathe social - you understand what makes influencer content feel native, what makes a mailer feel giftable, and what makes a scroll-stopping post go viral.

You'll partner closely with Brand Marketing, Social, and Influencer teams, and act as a thought leader and strategic partner to the Creative Director in shaping campaign creative and launch visual identity, setting the bar for design that makes every touchpoint feel ownable, cool, and unmistakably poppi.

Application Note - In order to be considered for this role, your resume must include a direct link to your design portfolio.

  • Lead art direction and manage process, including direct reports and freelance talent for seasonal and flavor launch campaigns across web and social.
  • Actively drive brainstorming and cross-functional ideation, bringing sharp, on-the-pulse cultural and social trend awareness to the table.

Design & Execution

  • Heavy-weight design across both everyday assets and campaign-anchor work that sets visual tone for the rest of the team.
  • Lead design and production of assets across social, e-commerce, influencer, and email -static and motion, ensuring we are on trend and at the highest quality.
  • Ideate and design for "culture bombs" - fast-turn, trend-responsive content that lets poppi jump on cultural moments in real time.
  • Support and execute physical/print materials as needed, including mailers, IRL activations, and OOH.
  • Contribute to on site direction at shoots where needed, i.e. HQ video shoots, or photo shoots
  • Maintain consistency and excellence across all touchpoints - high standards and taste in typography, layout, and brand identity.

Team & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Supervise, mentor, and support the growth of 1-2 direct reports; provide art direction and feedback to external vendors and freelancers.
  • Work closely with Social & culture team leads to ensure creative is culturally relevant, disruptive, and defining for the brand.
  • Manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines without sacrificing quality — this is a fast, high-volume launch calendar and brand that is growing.
