Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Continuing with product development/productivity/brand stewardship role, focusing on Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico markets, such as Plant trials and scale-ups, BCP agenda, sampling preparation, local consumer studies, facing to business to accelerate decision making, gold standard, ingredients management, etc. Additionally, support the product developer for Tortrix (corn chip) agenda. 

 

Your Impact

Innovation:•    Product development and Innovation project leader for Tortrix brand•    Raw materials selection and validation, formulation, prototyping, costing, sensory/consumer evaluation, documentation•    Interaction with Mktg, Procurement, Stage Gate, Operations, FinanceProcess Executive:•    Process flex-specialist for technological platforms: scale-up and commissionings leader, providing technical solutions and process definitions including innovation pipeline, productivity, brand stewardship and business continuity projects where required with focus on Guatemala and DR/PR markets•    Guarantee flawless and consistent execution of the plant executive activities•    Interaction with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Mktg, Supply ChainLocal R&D Support in Guatemala•    Support for samples preparation for projects with local execution in CAMN and CAMS•    Support the product elaboration in projects that require local consumer studies CAMN and CAMS•    Support to send and receive samples, product, ingredients, etc to all other operations or R&D sites from/to Guatemala•    Support the fast and robust decision making with extended teams (Mktg, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, etc) when required•    Interaction with Mktg, Stage Gate, Operations, R&D, Procurement, Supply ChainProductivity•    Develop and execution of initiatives that provide savings to the OU, ensuring product design, with focus on Guatemala Operation and Cornchip technology owner•    Interaction with Operation, Supply Chain, MktgBrand Stewardship •    Coordinate, develop and execute design or quality improvements where appropriate, according to consumer data and business needs with focus on Cornchip technology•    Interaction with Operations, Mktg, Procurement, Supply Chain

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

•    Bachelor in  Food Science or related discipline or equivalent•    R&D experience (min 3 years) in food processing industry (product development and processes)•    Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.•    Working knowledge of statistical tools and experimental design.•    Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timelines, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations.•    Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and negotiate effectively across all levels and functions•    Strong technical and analytical skills to interpret complex data and distil into meaningful information•    Good understanding of the food category business and application of core process technical and commercial knowledge during project execution•    Cultural sensitivity / flexibility in responding to different cultures•    Result oriented and able to balance competing priorities without losing momentum and manage uncertainties•    Demonstrated technical leadership and proactive ownership, with the ability to drive initiatives, influence decisions, and achieve results through cross-functional collaboration.•    Ability to Prioritize and Deliver in Fast-Paced Environments
