The HR Compliance Manager ensures that the organization adheres to all employment laws and regulations, and internal policies while promoting ethical business practices in human resources activities. This role involves overseeing HR policies, managing legal compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing guidance on risk management within the HR function.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Stamford, CT area. This is a hybrid role; working 3 days/week in the Stamford, CT office and 2 days/week remotely. May consider candidates in other locations, based on proximity to one of our offices.
Compensation: This position offers a base salary range of $141,093 - $175,170.
This position is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
- Stay current on applicable laws and regulations related to HR, including employment law, wage and hour law, benefits compliance, and health and safety regulations.
- Advise senior leadership on HR compliance-related matters, including risk management, audits, and policy updates.
- Conduct compliance training for HR staff and other employees on key areas like workplace harassment, discrimination, safety, and wage laws.
- Ensure that training programs meet legal requirements and help create an informed and compliant workforce.
- Plan, manage, and execute internal audits to assess compliance with HR policies and legal requirements.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, complaints, or violations reported by employees or managers.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to handle investigations of potential legal or regulatory violations.
- Partner with Internal Audit to track and assign Alert Line cases
- Identify and mitigate HR-related risks.
- Create action plans to address identified compliance gaps or areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Prepare reports for senior management regarding compliance issues, trends, and improvements.
- Ensure that HR documentation, including employee files, training records, and policy changes, complies with all legal standards.
- Maintain accurate immigration records in conjunction with legal.
- Work closely with HR teams, legal counsel, and other departments to ensure the integration of compliance into the daily operations of the company.
- Serve as a point of contact for external regulatory bodies, auditors, and legal agencies related to HR compliance matters.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 10+ years of HR Compliance experience
- Extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and day-to-day operations concurrently
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects/requests simultaneously.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to proactively drive change and process improvements
