Description
Restaurant Associates is seeking experienced Catering Managers and Directors of Catering for a premier corporate dining client in NYC. The Catering roles will oversee the daily execution of a high-volume catering operation within a premier corporate dining services environment. This role coordinates the delivery, setup, and presentation of catering orders throughout the facility while ensuring an exceptional experience for clients and guests.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Catering Coordinator, Catering Captain, Catering Manager, Hospitality Lead, or Conference Services Professional looking to take the next step into management. You'll gain leadership experience while learning the operational side of corporate hospitality, including large-scale event execution, staffing coordination, and client relationship management.
The operation manages approximately 80-100 catering orders daily, ranging from simple drop-off deliveries to executive meetings, conferences, receptions, and special events.

What You'll Do:
- Oversee the daily drop of catering orders across multiple floors and meeting spaces.
- Coordinate the delivery and setup of fruit platters, sandwich platters, salads, beverages, breakfast programs, and other catering requests.
- Ensure all orders are delivered accurately, professionally, and on schedule.
- Lead event setup, room resets, service support, and breakdown activities.
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to catering attendants, captains, and service team members.
- Assist with staffing assignments and event coverage to ensure service expectations are met.
- Partner with culinary, conference services, workplace experience, and operations teams to execute seamless events.
- Monitor service quality, presentation standards, and guest satisfaction.
- Address last-minute changes and operational challenges with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal partners.
- Support inventory organization, supply management, and operational readiness.
- Learn financial and operational components of the business, including labor efficiency and event execution metrics.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and team-focused culture.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in catering, hospitality, conference services, restaurants, hotels, or corporate dining environments.
- Experience as a Catering Coordinator, Catering Captain, Lead Attendant, Hospitality Coordinator, or similar role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, logistics-heavy environment.
- Interest in developing leadership and people-management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Comfortable overseeing multiple catering deliveries and event setups throughout the day.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and client requests.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and catering or event management systems.
- Food safety knowledge or ServSafe certification is a plus.
