Accountant, Finance, Full Time, Day

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general direction, responsible for activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for developing financial statements and reports. Responsible for financial accounting functions and operational audit functions of Valley Physician Services medical practices, Valley Medical Services, and the Foundation. Includes preparing journal entries, posting batches, reconciling bank and investment statements, and analyzing general ledger accounts. Will prepare and communicate findings, conclusions and recommendations. Will perform timely and effective follow-up.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting

EXPERIENCE:

At least 2 years of related accounting experience required (Preferably in a health care setting).

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor, preferred. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels throughout the organization. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet changing priorities/deadlines. Able to work in a team and independently, as needed. Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Working knowledge of financial and operational controls, as well as internal auditing standards and techniques. Ability to utilize computer applications (Excel and Word).

Pay Range: $67,308.80 - $84,136.00

The posted pay range reflects the compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE)
