Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Nights)
Reports to: Production Manager
Objective: The Maintenance role is to support production operations as their primary goal. Additionally, the maintenance worker will address open work orders that are prioritized by the production manager and work on larger maintenance projects and tasks with the maintenance supervisor.

Role
- Respond to operations repair requests to keep equipment running smoothly and producing quality products.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment as necessary
- Log all spare parts used during the shift by maintenance
- Work with maintenance supervisor on larger projects and tasks
- Perform PMs and inspections assigned by Maintenance Manager
- Complete work orders prioritized by Maintenance Manager if time allows
- Assist with reactor turnarounds
- Work in all areas of the plant including shredding, pyro, finishing and facilities
- Document PMS, work order completion and other tasks completed
- Clean up tools and areas where work was completed
Responsibilities
- Planning of maintenance tasks
- Responsible for contractors on site.
- Plan and oversee equipment turnarounds
- Apply basic electrical and electronic principles in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant systems
- Troubleshoot and maintain plant electrical and electronic equipment to competent level including operator interfaces, PLCs, process controllers, power supplies, etc.
- Make minor repairs on general plant machinery such as fans, blowers, conveyors, belts, mechanical, and screw conveyors
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and program VFDs and PLC systems
- Install and maintain switch gears, control wiring and components, over-current and overload protection for plant motors including three phase systems
- Read, update, and build electrical schematics and documentation
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred.
- 2+ years in industrial maintenance (manufacturing, chemical processing, or recycling); pyrolysis experience a plus.
- Essential: Building/plumbing/electrical repairs, industrial 480V wiring, Mig/Arc welding, fabrication.
- Preferred: Controls troubleshooting experience.
- Strong grasp of schematics, blueprints, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and ability to work independently while prioritizing safety.

Working Conditions
This role operates within an active chemical recycling plant that includes exposure to carbon black, liquid hydrocarbon oils, and vapor streams. Protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators) will be required in designated areas. The facility includes indoor and outdoor operations, elevated equipment access, and industrial-grade processing equipment
