Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an MRI Technologist Lead, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.
- Provides for patient comfort and safety in a strong magnetic field environment.
- Ensures that established safety standards regarding strong magnetic fields are followed. Conducts safety in-services for staff when necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining MRI staffing schedules and call rotations. Coordinates workflow with Mercy Scheduling to include STAT add-ons at the hospital.
- Responsible for ensuring quality control and maintaining records according to manufacturer’s specifications. Investigates and evaluates the MR systems daily for inconsistencies.
- Establishes and maintains protocols for both scanner locations, with the assistance of managers and ensures compliance of standards.
Job Requirements
Required
- Oregon MRI License
- ARRT Registered Technologist MRI
- AHA BLS within 30 Days
- Two (2) years MRI experience
Preferred
- Lead experience
