What You’ll Be Part Of
Harman IT Internal Auditor is responsible for the internal controls and risks of Harman’s technology, including applications, network, infrastructure, and other IT initiatives and projects. This role includes supporting the planning of audits, testing of the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls. Based on the testing performed, identify control deficiencies and create remediation/management action plans and support in the creation of internal audit reports.
Additionally, will interact with internal stakeholders including business process owners, IT compliance, information technology, and external auditors.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Analyze and evaluate IT-supported business processes about operational efficiency and quality, possible risks, and compliance with internal and external requirements
Support for financial audits, e.g., through data analysis or audit of the accounting-related internal control system, general computer controls, as well as application controls
Perform tests of design and effectiveness on controls, and assess the systems’ authorization concept. Assess the efficiency and safety of IT and operational procedures, including risk analysis and evaluation
Discuss the identified weaknesses and shortcomings with the auditees and recommend feasible and value-adding actions that support the effective remediation of the risk. Advise the departments and managers in the implementation process
Identify efficient solutions for optimizing structures and processes
Independent follow-up of the daily tasks
Deficiency administration and follow-up
Compilation of audit reports and final discussions with the audited areas
Proactive monitoring and status reporting of IT projects to the management of the Internal Audit Team
What Makes You A Strong Fit
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Economist/ Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Computer Science coupled with dual majors in accounting or business administration
2+ years post-qualification experience
Experience at a “Big Four” accounting firm
Comfortable with risk-based audit methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Very good spoken and written English
SAP knowledge (e.g., authorizations, change management, core ERP, SAP GRC)
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Good knowledge of MS operating systems, Oracle database, and networks
Bonus Points if You Have
Good knowledge of multiple technology domains including software development, Windows, database management, networking, and UNIX
CISA qualification is an advantage. Understanding of information and IT security standards, best practices for securing computer systems, and applicable laws and regulations
Demonstrated track record of working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and accomplishing objectives
Demonstrated ability to work independently, be proactive, take the initiative, be a self-starter, and frequently exceed expectations and deliver outstanding results
Demonstrated ability to function at varied levels including “hands-on” detail work and higher-level strategic thinking along with the ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management
