What you will have an opportunity to do:
We are looking for a highly engaging, customer focused individual to join our team as Purchasing Clerk. The successful candidate for this role is engaging, highly detailed, and is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally.
The Purchasing Clerk performs professional work and deliveries in support of all Food and Beverage Departments and other department on the resort of multiple activities to include receiving goods to maintain and/or support programs, projects and data entry. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times.
Your Role:
- Receive goods from Vendors, verifying the correct products as they come in from Vendors
- Unpacking products as the come into the warehouse, and store in the proper place
- Keep track of invoices on incoming shipments and/or gather invoices from all Food and Beverage outlets and keep in order from each outlet.
- Work with chemicals and toxic material when helping to check supplies into storeroom area and deliveries.
- Keep all items on the shelves in the proper place.
- Supporting the Distribution Center, answering phones, assisting departmental managers with any questions they may have
- Report all safety hazards and suspicious person or activities to Security
- Know all safety and emergency procedures and your role in assisting during these times
- Attend all monthly and resort required meetings
What are we looking for?
- Someone with a High school diploma or equivalent.
- Someone with prior hospitality/purchasing experience preferred
- Someone with at least one year customer service experience preferred
- Someone able to read, write and speak English
- Someone who can work well under pressure
- Someone who is an excellent communicator
- Someone who enjoys working in a team environment
- Someone with the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Someone who is comfortable with interacting with the guests and associates
- Someone with strong problem solving skills and can do so with a tactful manner
- Someone who is able to frequently lift & carry up to 50-75 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.; such lifting to including carrying weight up and down stairs
