Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cost Specialist (Saudi National) to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all costs are properly charged to projects and that the cost control team has full visibility.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position, as appropriate.
Interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and prepare statistical reports.
Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
Support the Project Director in reviewing and finalizing the business plan.
Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance in resolving difficult and complex cost control issues.
Participate in monthly and quarterly reviews and support the project team in explaining variances and their justifications.
Utilize historical data and trends to maintain a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
Perform variance analysis against baseline projections and initiate or recommend corrective actions.
Establish resource, revenue, and cost projections for projects in coordination with project teams.
Prepare and update weekly and monthly cost-tracking reports.
Analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report cost status against the established baseline in collaboration with the planning team.
Set up baseline budgets for resources, revenue, and costs using an appropriate WBS, or Work Breakdown Structure, while interfacing with various disciplines and coordinating with the Project Manager and Scheduler.
Provide financial and cost analysis, as well as earned value and cost performance reporting.
Take responsibility for project budgets, invoicing, change control, and cost forecasting.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited university or institution is required.
At least 8 years of related work experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for mega engineering, construction, or entertainment construction projects is required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills, and Power BI is required.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or ACCA are preferred.
Experience with PMC firms and main contractors is preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices and standards.
