Caterpillar currently has an opening for a Machine Operator position supporting Reman Drivetrain located in the West Fargo, ND facility. The Machine Operator position operates a variety of equipment to accurately produce final productct as well as assist in the development of new products and processes.

Education

·       High School diploma or equivalent preferred

·       Two-year tech school degree or equivalent experience preferred

Qualifications / Experience

·       Minimum two years job related experience in a manufacturing environment

·       Must possess ability to deal with multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

General Tasks and Responsibilities

·       Use precision measuring devices to effectively machine parts

·       Use blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specifications

·       Ability to set-up, adjust and perform operations with close tolerance and finish requirements on standardized parts

·       Conduct pre and post inspection on all machined parts

·       Assist other team members with technical issues and/or production problems

·       Efficiently perform all processes as assigned

·       Ability to effectively setup and perform all laser operations (i.e. seam welding, heat treatment, and hard facing) without assistance

·       Demonstrates safe and efficient machining practices on CNC / Manual machines

·       Assist in the development of work instructions

·       Assist in identifying issues and initiating corrective action processes as necessary

·       Any duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training

·       Other duties as assigned

·       Ability to Interface with plant management, supervisors and production personnel

Compensation & Benefits Offered!

·       Hourly Pay Range: $20.53 - $26.13 (salary negotiations to be offered based on skills/experience)

·       2nd shift Work Hours: 4:15PM - 2:45AM

·       2nd shift will receive an additional 7% night shift premium.

·       Monday - Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays

• 40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime

Summary Pay Range:

$20.53 - $26.13
