As a cloud solutions architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve mission critical applications and products? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the nation's toughest problems.  

 

This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Using your technical experience, you’ll work with industry leaders to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.   

 

You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll work with your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you’ll grow your skills in areas like AI while developing critical systems for the law enforcement industry.

You Have: 

• Experience designing secure cloud, hybrid, or multi‑enclave architectures across air‑gapped or restricted environments 
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and IaC automation such as Terraform, Ansible, or GitLab CI/CD, deployed in disconnected or multi‑enclave systems 
• Experience in security architecture, governance, accreditation such as RMF or ICD‑503, and identity or access controls for both cloud and on‑prem platforms 
• Experience leading architecture efforts across complex, multi‑platform environments such as AWS GovCloud, SC2S/C2S, Nutanix, on‑prem compute, and cross‑domain solutions
• Knowledge of network architectures for classified systems, including Cisco routing or switching, IPSec, DMVPN, or SD‑WAN, and multi‑enclave boundary controls 
• Ability to translate mission, business, and security requirements into long‑term cloud architecture strategies 
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in technical management or program management, Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in technical management or program management, or 12+ years of experience in technical management or program management in lieu of a degree 

 

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with multi‑database architectures such as RDS, Aurora, or DynamoDB, search or analytics platforms such as Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, or enterprise monitoring such as Splunk
• Experience with automated ETL pipelines, schema‑aligned ingestion, or data lineage or provenance solutions 
• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift deployments across cloud and on‑prem environments 
• Experience with Python, .NET, or C# for automation, integration, or microservices support 
• Knowledge of enterprise IAM and ABAC patterns such as AD, LDAP or OpenLDAP, Entra ID, and Keycloak
• Knowledge of GPU‑enabled compute architectures, cluster or fabric design, or AI/ML workload integration 

 

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
