Position Overview
emerjence LLC is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to provide research, analysis, documentation, and business process support for client programs and initiatives. The Business Analyst will evaluate technical and functional data, assess its accuracy and reasonableness, document findings, and develop actionable insights to support client recommendations and decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, research, communication, and problem-solving skills with experience evaluating business requirements, documenting processes, and supporting the implementation of solutions that address client and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis in support of client projects, programs, and initiatives.
- Collect, review, and analyze technical, functional, operational, and business data.
- Evaluate data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reasonableness.
- Identify trends, issues, gaps, risks, and opportunities based on research and analysis.
- Document and summarize research findings to support client recommendations and decision-making.
- Assist with gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to understand existing business processes, challenges, and desired outcomes.
- Develop and document current-state and future-state business processes and workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, operational efficiency, and overall program performance.
- Assist in developing and implementing solutions designed to meet client business and mission requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, recommendations, processes, and actionable deliverables.
- Coordinate with technical teams, program leadership, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, presentations, briefings, process documentation, requirements, and other project deliverables.
- Track business requirements, action items, issues, risks, and project activities as needed.
- Support solution testing, validation, and implementation to ensure business requirements are appropriately addressed.
- Facilitate meetings, requirements discussions, and working sessions with project stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, research and analysis, program support, requirements analysis, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience conducting research and analyzing technical, functional, or business information.
- Experience evaluating data and developing findings, summaries, or recommendations.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business or functional requirements.
- Experience supporting business process development or improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting federal government programs or contracts.
- Experience with business process analysis, process improvement, or business process reengineering.
- Experience developing requirements documentation, process flows, reports, presentations, and executive-level briefings.
- Familiarity with requirements gathering and stakeholder interview techniques.
- Experience supporting the implementation and validation of business or technical solutions.
- Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Experience facilitating meetings, requirements sessions, or stakeholder working groups.
- Familiarity with project management, requirements management, and business analysis methodologies.
