Position Overview

In this position, you will conceptualize, develop, and produce creative solutions for campaign collateral to support museum branding and communications. You will be responsible for providing production of graphics and printed materials for the organization’s public promotion, exhibitions, gardens, shop, fundraising, and education programs while maintaining industry standards and trends. This position will report to the Director of Communications and work closely with our Graphic Designer.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Collaborates closely with multiple museum departments during the creative review process and provide meaningful contributions to the overall concept in campaign initiatives for print materials, environmental graphics, invitations, event programs, newsletters, packaging, and other print documents using graphic design software tools
• Apply and adapt existing brand standards across print and digital materials for a global audience and in alignment with Graphic Designer
• Optimizes print and digital materials for email and other forms of digital distribution
• Provides graphic design support for various communications, including but not limited to social media, blog, website, email, infographics, and animated GIFs
• Makes designed artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Equivalent Education/Experience:

• Associate's Degree in Graphic Design or related subject matter, Bachelor's preferred
• At least 2 years' experience in graphic design

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite  (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Bridge) 
• Strong proficiency with Macintosh products
• Experience in graphic design, print production, and visual arts
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining deadlines for concurrent projects
• Must have a high degree of conceptual skills with a high sense of style/design and layout
• Strong communication and organizational skills required
• Team-oriented attitude
