Senior Specialist, Payment Management

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Specialist, Payment Management to join RHB Transaction Banking. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development, optimization, and delivery of payment products and solutions across the Transaction Banking portfolio. You will play a key role in enhancing payment capabilities, driving product commercialization, improving customer experience, and supporting business growth while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

What you will be doing

• Drive the development, enhancement, and commercialization of payment products and solutions across the Transaction Banking portfolio.
• Oversee the design and implementation of payment solutions, including domestic and cross-border payments, instant payments, and real-time settlement capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop tailored payment solutions for corporate, SME, and government clients.
• Support product penetration, utilization, and revenue growth through effective product management initiatives.
• Develop and execute product innovation, marketing, and commercialization strategies to strengthen market adoption.
• Drive product pricing and bundling initiatives to enhance customer value proposition and competitiveness.
• Conduct product training and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal stakeholders, including Sales and Support teams.
• Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding, implementation, and support processes to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Ensure timely resolution of operational issues and drive continuous improvement in service delivery standards.
• Act as a key liaison between business, operations, technology, finance, implementation, and sales teams to ensure successful product delivery and execution.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders including PayNet, vendors, fintech partners, and regulatory bodies to support product innovation and compliance requirements.
• Ensure products and implementations comply with all applicable regulatory requirements, including those issued by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and relevant payment ecosystem stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate product, operational, and implementation risks.
• Manage the product lifecycle from ideation and business case development through implementation, launch, enhancement, and performance monitoring.
• Prepare and maintain product documentation, business requirements, implementation plans, and risk assessments.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, client needs, and growth opportunities within the payments landscape.
• Develop strategic initiatives to strengthen RHB's market position and value proposition in Transaction Banking Payment Solutions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Qualification in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, Accountancy, Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Transaction Banking, with strong exposure to Payments and Product Management.
• Strong understanding of payment solutions, cash management, transaction banking products, and payment ecosystems.
• Experience in product development, commercialization, pricing strategies, and product lifecycle management.
• Good knowledge of domestic and cross-border payment infrastructures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, operations, and technology teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Customer-centric mindset with a passion for innovation and delivering value-added solutions.
