- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail grocery location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity records, while complying with applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
