This is a team that turns creators into cultural moments for some of the biggest names in fashion, beauty and lifestyle, and they've built a genuine reputation doing it, not just a portfolio page.
They've grown from a London HQ into a 130+ person, multi-office operation spanning New York, Dubai and Rio, and Creator Services alone is 70-80 people deep.
It's fast, it's high-volume, and it's the real thing: real budgets, real global brands, real creators with real followings, not a junior team running spreadsheets in the corner.
Now they're building their first South African presence, and Marketing Pros is opening the door. This isn't a one-off placement, it's the start of a proper regional hub for Buttermilk in Cape Town, and the first person or two through that door will help shape what that hub becomes.
For a South African influencer creator marketer who wants exposure to genuinely global, culturally relevant campaigns, without giving up the stability of an SA-based role, this is about as good as it gets.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of creators, from discovery and outreach to onboarding and campaign execution. You will manage logistics, review content, negotiate contracts, and ensure campaigns meet client expectations while hitting key performance benchmarks. Working closely with internal teams, you'll also help refine strategies to maximise results across platforms and ensure efficient, on-standard delivery of campaigns.
Key responsibilities:
- Creator Discovery & Outreach: identify and reach out to potential creators (brand fans and micro-influencers) that align with client objectives.
- Creator Onboarding & Management: facilitate onboarding for new creators; serve as primary point of contact, maintaining strong, ongoing communication.
- Content Reviews & Approvals: review and approve content to ensure it meets brand guidelines and client expectations.
- Negotiations & Contracting: handle negotiations and contracting for micro-influencers, ensuring cost-efficiency and compliance with campaign budgets.
- Logistics Management: oversee logistics for product send-outs and other campaign materials.
- Data Entry & Campaign Monitoring: accurately input data into the campaign dashboard and monitor progress against set KPIs.
- Collaboration & Optimization: collaborate with internal teams to optimize campaign performance; provide input and tips to less experienced team members as part of a buddy system.
- Industry Trends: stay informed on social media/influencer marketing trends, ASA guidelines, and platform updates.
The Person
Who we’re looking for:
Experience & Qualifications: 3+ years' experience in project management/creator management, ideally agency; mandatory influencer marketing experience; strong track record managing creator relationships end-to-end.
Key Characteristics: Organisational skills; interpersonal skills; proactive & solution-oriented; strong influencer marketing & social media knowledge; adaptability & resilience; commitment to high standards.
Measurement of Success: Weekly target delivery; rate benchmarks (response, sign-up, earned content); cost-efficiency; timely delivery; data accuracy; positive team/manager feedback.
Preferred but not mandatory: Client-specific experience (e.g. L'Oreal/beauty brands); paid influencer & gifting campaign experience; agency background.
