Class A CDL Truck Driver No Restrictions – Agricultural Equipment Delivery and Setup

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for safely delivering inbound and outbound farm equipment,

heavy machinery, and parts to company locations and customers. This position provides

excellent customer service and makes safety the top priority.

 COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE:

  • Pay: Based on experience.
  • Quarterly safety bonus and performance bonus; overtime
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, with seasonal or weekend overtime as needed.
  • Primarily home daily, with occasional overnight travel as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Securely load, transport, and unload farm equipment, heavy machinery, and parts to prevent injury or damage.
  • Safely use chains, binders, ramps, forklifts, winches, and other approved loading equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records.
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and Company guideline during loading, unloading and transportation of goods. All drivers must stay informed and up to date with all laws and guidelines pertaining to the transportation of heavy equipment.
  • Assist management with scheduling deliveries or pick-ups of equipment, machinery, or parts.
  • Inspect equipment before and after loading/unloading to ensure that there is no damage in the process of loading and unloading.
  • Maintain all assigned vehicles in good, clean, and working condition.
  • Assist with equipment setup and assembly and educate customers on proper operating procedures as needed.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment by interacting with
  • customers, peers, management, and support resources in a way that promotes teamwork and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience securing, loading, unloading, and transporting heavy equipment preferred
  • 1+ years of experience operating commercial vehicles weighing 10,000+ pounds.
  • Agriculture background is a plus, but not necessary.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able

to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of

the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
  • Must be able to safely and proficiently operate vehicles equipped with a manual transmission.
  • Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and no restrictions.
  • Valid DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must be 23 years of age or older.
  • Individual must be able to maintain a high degree of professionalism and courtesies while interacting with customers.
  • Willing and able to operate in and foster a customer and team driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and load ratings set by DOT and Lacy Logistics.
  • Strong familiarity with traffic laws pertaining to the operation of heavy equipment on roadways.
  • Efficient multi-tasker
  • Communicates clearly and concisely one-on-one or within a group.
  • Must be competent and able to set work and safety priorities and work independently.
  • Able to carry-out written and verbal directions satisfactorily.
  • Possess first-rate customer service skills and positive attitude.
  • Solves problems using logical and critical thinking.
  • Strong awareness of surroundings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those

essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to move around the dealership building and grounds without assistance.
  • Ability to repeatedly bend, crouch, kneel, stand, reach, grasp, strain, crawl, walk or climb.
  • Ability to climb in, out of, and under equipment.
  • Ability to operate all equipment and tools in a safe and proper manner.
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds on a normal basis, lift 25 pounds frequently and seldomly lift up-to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to react quickly and accurately while driving, loading and/or unloading.
  • Possess a visual acuity that allows you to clearly see road signs, lines, and lights clearly.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment or outside in inclement weather.
