Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer | Sheffield, UK | £50,000/year + £3,000 commission

Ready to take the lead on challenging contaminated land and geo-environmental projects?

This is an opportunity for an experienced geo-environmental professional to take ownership of projects from investigation through remediation and completion, while providing technical leadership and helping develop the wider team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead geo-environmental and contaminated land projects from inception to completion
  • Design, procure and supervise site investigations and remediation
  • Prepare and review Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports, remediation strategies and verification reports
  • Conduct GQRA/DQRA and interpret site investigation data
  • Manage project budgets, programmes, resources and delivery
  • Provide technical leadership, quality assurance and mentoring
  • Manage client relationships and support business development, bids and tenders
  • Ensure health and safety, environmental and quality compliance

What You’ll Need

  • Degree in Geology
  • 5+ years of UK consultancy experience in geo-environmental or contaminated land
  • Strong knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and guidance
  • Experience in site investigation, remediation and risk assessment
  • Proven project and team management experience
  • Strong client-facing, commercial and report-writing skills
  • Chartered status / Certified Engineering Geologist
  • Full UK driving licence
  • UK work authorisation
