Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Java Developer/Engineer to join our dynamic Sustainment team. This role involves developing and maintaining web applications hosted on cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with infrastructure engineers to containerize and deploy applications in the cloud, focusing on both front-end and back-end development.
This position is a temporary to possible permanent position with a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze user needs and design software solutions to meet those needs.
- Develop, test, and modify application source code in response to new requirements.
- Ensure continued functionality of programs during maintenance and testing phases.
- Document system and application details for future upgrades and maintenance.
- Develop and deploy software, including in cloud environments.
- Integrate external code into core libraries and install/configure application software.
- Evaluate third-party vendors and software partners.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs for application integration.
Desired Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance required.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or significant professional experience.
- Experience with Python REST APIs (Flask, FastAPI).
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Experience in Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety engineering analysis.
- Background in Aerospace industry or related field.
- Experience with Fleet Management software.
- Knowledge of predictive logistics.
- Proficiency in UML (Unified Modeling Language).
- Experience with Node.js.
- Experience in cloud environments and deployment.
