Description
The Commercial Sales and Service Manager is responsible for the development, execution, and oversight of the company’s commercial business in a given area. This role combines oversight, operational coordination, and sales development to support commercial revenue growth and high-quality service delivery.
This is a hands-on position that coordinates daily workflow and dispatch operations, manages customer relationships, and identifies opportunities to expand commercial services. If the size of the commercial department allows, this position will also oversee commercial service technicians. This role ensures timely service execution, accurate scheduling, and strong customer communication while meeting established commercial revenue goals.
This position operates in both indoor and outdoor environments and may include roadside service coordination and occasional field response as needed. Excellent safety performance, professionalism, and reliable attendance are always expected.
Key Responsibilities

Workflow Management
- Dispatch service technicians to commercial and roadside service calls.
- Plan and coordinate daily service routes to maximize efficiency and response time.
- Prioritize work based on urgency, geography, and technician availability.
- Monitor service response times and adjust schedules as necessary.
- Communicate service details and expectations clearly to technicians and customers.
Commercial Customer Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial service scheduling and coordination.
- Communicate service timelines, updates, and follow-ups with customers.
- Document service activity, customer interactions, and follow-up needs.
- Address customer concerns related to service coordination and scheduling.
Sales & Commercial Growth
- Develop and execute the company’s commercial business strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial customers.
- Support and grow national account business within service centers.
- Meet established commercial revenue goals and performance expectations.
- Identify sales opportunities during service calls and within existing accounts.
- Promote additional services to expand customer partnerships.
Supervision and Training
- Provide leadership, direction, and daily oversight for commercial service technicians when applicable.
- Train and mentor new or junior technicians on proper procedures, service standards, and safety practices.
- Promote accountability, quality workmanship, and professional conduct across the team.
Field & Service Support (As Needed)
- Respond to customer locations to diagnose, repair, or replace tires when required.
- Assist with high-priority or urgent service calls.
- Collaborate with other managers to troubleshoot challenging problems.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately and submitted for billing.
- Maintain consistent service quality through regular work audits and performance oversight.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure dispatched work meets company and regulatory safety standards.
- Maintain professional conduct and safe work practices during all field responses.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office and proficiency using computers/POS system preferred
- Effective communication with customers and team members working toward building long-term relationships based on trust and integrity
- Ability to plan and prioritize work efficiently while upholding excellent quality standards
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience
- High School diploma or GED required, a degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field a plus.
- 3 or more years of sales experience, particularly in the tire industry or a related automotive field with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- 5 or more years of industry knowledge including familiarity with commercial tires, including different types and their applications, is crucial.
- 3 or more years of account management experience in managing client accounts, building customer relationships, and understanding customer needs is essential.
