No Medical Assistant certification is required for this position.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-service-oriented individual to join our team on a part-time basis (Monday, Tuesday and Friday).
This is a non-clinical position focused primarily on patient communication and front-office support. The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with patients in person and over the phone, managing multiple tasks, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients and visitors.
- Greet patients and assist with the check-in and check-out process.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients with questions.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Assist patients with general scheduling and office-related inquiries.
- Collect and verify basic patient demographic and insurance information.
- Update patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with obtaining medical records and other administrative documentation when needed.
- Monitor and respond appropriately to incoming patient messages and requests.
- Route clinical questions to the appropriate clinical staff member or healthcare provider.
- Assist with scanning, faxing, filing, and other front-office administrative duties.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, coworkers, hospitals, and other healthcare offices.
- Work collaboratively with the front office and clinical teams to help maintain efficient patient flow.
- Assist with additional administrative and customer service duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- CPR certification is a plus.
