Why this role matters:

This role is important as it supports the relevant Asset Owner and Country Manager in maximizing project returns and reducing investment risks across the country portfolio. It helps ensure strong ownership of the equity investment business case final project stages while supporting key activities before Financial Close across development, project finance, construction and O&M structuring. The role also contributes to better operational and financial performance through portfolio optimizations, refinancing or divestment opportunities, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with partners, lenders and internal teams.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

Ownership:

• Help to carry out investment management and own the Scatec equity investment business case post-DG3 for
• the Scatec Group.
• Support the activities required for management of Scatec’s equity investments.
• Work to maximize returns through active ownership, internal and external stakeholder management.
• Maintain a holistic business and company perspective, own investor-level risks.
• Collect and communicate of learnings / key lessons learned across Regions and Functions.
• Assist in preparing for and holding Shareholder and Board meetings in HoldCos and SPVs.
• Initiate/drive/oversee/support re-financing and divestments.

Development (together with Business & Project Development):

• Support project structuring activities (in-country setup, partnerships, governance and so on).
• Help to negotiate commercial agreements (SPA, DSA/JDA, SHA, PPA, GCA, CTA/FA, EPCA, O&MA, MSA, etc.).
• Support closing of Conditions Precedents.
• Oversee/assist the handovers from BD to F&AM and AO.

Construction:

• Support and oversee sound risk management at the project and portfolio/corporate levels. 
• Support Finance & Asset Management organisation (re. cash flow, drawdown of senior debt, reporting, etc.). 
• Help to ensure contractual and statutory compliance and corporate governance. d. Manage internal and external stakeholders (lenders, partners, government authorities/regulators). 
• Support EPC in realizing maximum EPC Margin (timely COD, delay LDs, performance LDs, claims etc.). 
• Ensure efficient and timely COD and Taking Over from EPC to SPV/O&M. 

Operations:

• Support and oversee sound risk management at the project and portfolio/corporate levels. 
• Support O&M in realizing maximum O&M margin (performance LDs, claims, fee adjustments, etc.). 
• Continue to support F&AM organization. 
• Drive/oversee/support possible financial and operational improvements and optimizations.
• Maximize distributions from the SPVs and Scatec share of those.

 

What you’ll bring:

 

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or Law. MBA or Master’s Degree in above mentioned fields is an advantage. 
• 3+ years of experience within the areas of project-related asset management, cost controlling, project fi-nance-related banking or advisory, accounting or auditing, technical or legal advisory
• Skilled in financial modelling and valuation, experience with cash budgeting, cash management. 
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with different stakeholders. Renewable energy experience, ideally from project development, engineering companies, environmental consulting firms, renewable Independent Power Producers (IPPs) or from other infrastructure companies. 
• Working knowledge and understanding of power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, and EPC contract terms and conditions.
