 Are you a highly organized, customer-focused professional who enjoys supporting parts operations, shipping and receiving, and daily customer needs? SEI is looking for a Parts Assistant/Shipping Clerk to provide service parts support, manage shipping and receiving activities, maintain accurate records, and assist customers, vendors, and internal team members.

As a key member of our parts team, you’ll help keep department operations running smoothly by assisting with parts orders, vendor follow-up, customer communication, inventory support, filing, and shipping documentation. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing customer service with hands-on warehouse and administrative responsibilities.

 What you'll do:

 · Provide service parts support, including assisting with parts lookups, parts orders, purchase orders, and updates to the service coordinator and technicians. 

· Handle shipping and receiving duties, including receiving vendor orders, checking in purchase orders, picking, packing, and shipping customer and internal orders.

· Maintain accurate filing and records management for parts transactions, purchase orders, shipping documents, and related department paperwork.

· Assist walk-in customers with parts questions, order pickups, and general department support.

· Answer incoming phone calls and follow customer questions or inquiries through to completion.

· Follow up with vendors regarding order status, parts availability, shipping updates, and related issues.

· Respond to customer emails in a timely, professional manner.

· Assist with inventory control activities, including stock order receiving, cycle counts, and maintaining organized parts storage areas.

· Process parts sales and returns, including cash and credit card payments.

· Use yard equipment as needed to unload palletized material, plows, hitches, and similar items.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

· Support problem-solving and continuous improvement activities within the parts department.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

  


Requirements

  What we are looking for:

· Strong customer service, communication, and follow-through skills.

· Ability to stay organized while managing parts orders, shipping documents, vendor follow-up, and customer requests.

· Attention to detail and commitment to accurate records management.

· Basic computer skills and ability to learn business systems, parts systems, and data entry processes.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced parts and warehouse environment.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to written, oral, or diagram instructions.

· Previous parts, warehouse, shipping/receiving, customer service, or administrative support experience preferred.

· Knowledge of construction or heavy equipment is a plus.

· Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs. on a frequent basis and work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and moderate to loud noise levels.


Education and Experience: 

Required

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Minimum of 1 years of customer service, parts, shipping/receiving, warehouse, administrative support, or related experience preferred.

· Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs. on a frequent basis.

· Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Preferred

· Certificate from a technical school, vocational program, or related field preferred.

· Previous experience in a parts department, warehouse, shipping and receiving, or equipment industry environment preferred.

· Knowledge of construction or heavy equipment is a plus.
