Are you practical, hands-on, and eager to learn a skilled trade while earning a recognised qualification? We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Fitter Apprentice to join our manufacturing team and begin an exciting career in engineering.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment. As part of your apprenticeship, you will develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to become a competent Mechanical Fitter, contributing to the assembly of cutting-edge water treatment and electrolysis equipment.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you will receive structured training, mentoring, and real-world experience, helping you build a strong foundation for a long-term career in engineering and manufacturing.
As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, you will:
Undertake and successfully complete a recognised Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting.
Attend college on a day-release basis and actively participate in all training and development activities.
Complete and pass all apprenticeship coursework, assessments, and learning modules within agreed timescales.
Follow the structured cross-functional learning pathway, gaining exposure to different areas of the business and manufacturing processes.
Work closely with experienced mentors and skilled colleagues to develop practical engineering and assembly skills.
Learn how to safely assemble electrolysers, packaged skids, and standard products to required quality, specification, and performance standards.
Develop an understanding of engineering drawings, assembly procedures, quality requirements, and manufacturing best practices.
Actively contribute to the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing environment.
Carry out tasks and activities efficiently, accurately, and in line with agreed production schedules.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
Demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
