Sanitation Supervisor

Opportunity Overview:

Dessert Holdings is looking for a Sanitation Supervisor with responsibility for the cleaning of the entire campus and facility, including office space and production area in our Smyrna, Georgia facility.  

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining of the entire campus and facility such has the office area,
production floor, and outside grounds to ensure the plant is kept clean. Additionally, this position supports plantwide leadership
support over the weekends and will maintain their own budget, including purchasing of chemicals, sanitation and operations
supplies.

 

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 9:30 PM–6:00 AM, with occasional Saturdays. Start and end times may vary based on business needs.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and support the sanitation team to ensure production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized properly and on schedule.

• Train team members on sanitation procedures, SSOPs, GMPs, and safety standards.

• Monitor employee performance and attendance, providing coaching and feedback when needed.

• Ensure cleaning chemicals and supplies are handled, stored, and used safely.

• Inspect sanitation activities and identify areas that need improvement or corrective action.

• Work closely with production and other departments to quickly address sanitation concerns.

• Support GFSI/SQF audits and help complete corrective actions when needed.

• Maintain accurate sanitation records, inspection reports, KPIs, and required audit documentation.

• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant manufacturing environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a QA or Sanitation role in a food manufacturing environment
• Experience in a Supervisory or Team leader role
• Education and experience may be substituted or combined to meet the qualifications
• Knowledge of sanitation, chemical safety, FDA, GMP, and HACCP
• Intermediate Microsoft computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule as needed

- Professional Contacts/Relationships Within & Outside Dessert Holdings - Inside Kenny's: Interact with immediate team &
production employees, supervisors & staff. Outside Kenny's: Interact with vendors & contractors.

- Physical Requirements - Move objects of up to 50 lbs.; Position self to designated working area; Operate standard office
equipment; Communicate effectively with fellow employees & clients; Assess daily tasks & achieve them in a timely manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite-Excel, Word, power-point a must.
