The Technology Resources Coordinator creates and codes databases for election and voter registration systems for each election. Creates ballot definitions and tabulation reports for elections results. Creates and tests databases for systems used to assign ballots and tabulate results for early voting, Election Day and voting by mail. Compiles election information in detailed sequences in order to develop accurate reports.

Ensures security procedures and tracking of equipment is complete and accurate.

Configures and maintains backups of all databases utilized in Elections programming process, following applicable guidelines for retention periods in accordance with federal, state and local laws.

Verifies integration of election ballot codes from the County voter registration system and ensures system specific tests are performed to verify accuracy.

Manages voter registration data file transfer, migration and verification process from the statewide voter registration system (TEAM).

Provides project and technical support and detailed election analysis for political subdivisions that contract with the Elections Department for election services.

Provides contracting jurisdictions with ballot layout, content, proofs, audio ballot and verifies required corrections are made.

Supervises the tabulation process and ensures election results are properly captured on retention and retrieval system and archived for legal and security purposes.

Processes data from election results and voter registration files into customer defined reports.

Prepares archived reports for retention of election results and for viewing on the website.

Sets the ballot layout and parameters and performs quality control checks to ensure ballots are correct in style and content, comparing to database files. Orders, distributes, and tracks ballot distribution.

Provides assistance to Voter Registration Coordinator and Elections Manager for daily technical questions regarding the system and programs.

Coordinates with polling location's Information Technology staff to ensure that network access and security protocols are properly administered.

Coordinates with the voting system vendor and the IT Department regarding electronic voting processes and necessary equipment or process upgrades or changes.

Answers questions in person and by phone regarding to elections operations and voter registration operations as related to system integration and electronic voting.

Follows county policies and best practices related to information security; exercises good judgment to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Denton County computer systems and electronic records; supports compliance with CJIS, HIPAA, and other information security regulations.

Displays and reflects the culture, mission, vision, values, and direction of the department.

Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Performs other related duties as required.

High School Diploma or GED and minimum five years of experience in computer systems administration; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, government computer science, or related field, preferred.

Local or state election experience preferred.

CERA and/or REO certification preferred.

Possession of a valid driver's license.  Must be able to obtain a State of Texas driver's license within 90 days.

THE ANTICIPATED START DATE AND SALARY FOR THIS POSITION IS OCTOBER 7, 2026, PENDING COMMISSIONERS COURT APPROVAL OF FINAL BUDGET.
