Job Information:
Schedule: Tuesday and Friday 0800-1630, two 8-hour shifts per week, 0.4 FTE
Summary:
Assists the Patient Relations Manager and functions in a patient/hospital/staff liaison role, with a goal of improved communications and complaint resolution.
Supports Patient Relations department in various capacities as needed to improve patient satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities:
• Acts as communication liaison between patient, family, staff and surgeons.
• Resolves complaints in an efficient and timely manner with support from Patient Representative and/or Manager as needed.
• Documents complaints, resolutions, and feedback through formalized process.
• Alerts Patient Relations Manager of potential ethical issues.
• Supports the rights of each patient.
• Investigates and retrieves missing patient belongings.
• Assist with ADA needs.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Medical terminology and electronic medical record experience is preferred.
Customer service/Patient Experience background is also preferred.
Must have a general understanding of hospital and healthcare services.
Possess positive interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
Must have the ability to provide conflict resolution and adapt easily to all situations, functioning well under stress.
Required Education:
HS diploma or equivalent required.
