Description
The Board of Elections Temp - Support Assistant will assist with the preparation, inventory, organization, and distribution of election supplies and equipment for early voting sites and Election Day precincts. Responsibilities include stocking precinct supplies, assembling election materials, and assisting with warehouse operations before the election.
During the early voting period and on Election Day, the employee will serve as a first responder to polling locations, delivering supplies, responding to operational needs, and assisting with basic technical issues involving voting equipment and electronic pollbooks under the guidance of Elections Office staff.
Work Schedule Requirements
This temporary position will end on November 5.Requires a high school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must have strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to answer inquiries independently. The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform work in a warehouse environment, as well as travel throughout Brunswick County to support polling locations.

Work Schedule Requirements
- During the early voting period (October 15–31), the employee will be required to report earlier than normal business hours, work weekends as needed, and maintain a flexible schedule based on operational demands.
- On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, the employee must be available to work beginning at 6:00 a.m. until released, typically around 10:00 p.m., while traveling throughout an assigned portion of the county to support polling locations.
- Work hours may be adjusted, when possible, to accommodate class schedules.
