A Day in the Life

The Medical Education Consultant, Neurovascular Western Europe, is responsible for developing and delivering innovative medical education strategies and programmes across the Neurovascular portfolio. The role works closely with Medical Experts and regional stakeholders to support physician competency, procedural excellence, and the safe and effective adoption of Neurovascular therapies.

The position acts as a strategic partner to Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Clinical, and regional teams, while building strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, medical faculty, healthcare professionals, and leading training institutions across Western Europe.

As a recognised expert within the professional discipline, the role works independently to translate strategic objectives into operational plans, leads cross-functional initiatives of strategic importance, and contributes to the development of new educational models, processes, and standards with long-term functional impact.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Develop and execute the Neurovascular Medical Education strategy for Western Europe, aligned with business priorities, clinical evidence, customer needs, and therapy adoption goals
• Lead the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Medical Education initiatives in collaboration with medical faculty and internal stakeholders
• Develop and deliver a range of educational experiences, including workshops, masterclasses, fellowship programmes, clinical immersion initiatives, advisory boards, webinars, simulation-based training, and digital learning solutions
• Drive the use of virtual learning, digital learning platforms, learning management systems, AI-enabled learning tools, and hybrid educational formats
• Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics to evaluate educational effectiveness and business impact
• Manage educational budgets, resources, vendors, planning, logistics, documentation, and reporting
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Experience in Medical Education or a related professional discipline, preferably within the Neurovascular
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver education for healthcare professionals and translate complex clinical or technical information into effective learning experiences
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience with a range of educational and learning approaches
• Experience working with Key Opinion Leaders, medical faculty, healthcare professionals, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, timelines, and external partners
• Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to work independently and translate strategy into effective execution
• Strong communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with digital education, simulation, learning technologies, data analytics, or AI-enabled learning tools

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
