Position: Airport Cashier

Job Summary:
As an Airport Cashier, you will be responsible for handling all cash transactions at our airport location in Johannesburg. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth and efficient checkout process for our customers. Your primary goal will be to provide excellent customer service and accurately process payments for purchases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process cash, credit, and debit card payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile cash at the end of each shift
- Assist customers with any inquiries or concerns regarding their purchases
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth checkout process
- Keep the checkout area clean and well-organized
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service
- Upsell products and promotions to customers at the checkout
- Handle returns and exchanges in a timely and professional manner
- Report any discrepancies or issues with cash transactions to the supervisor
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on new products and promotions
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cashier, preferably in a retail or airport environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong math and cash handling skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to pass a background check and security clearance
