Description

Description

At Wind River Environmental, we keep businesses running by providing essential environmental services to restaurants, supermarkets, and commercial facilities across the region. We’re looking for hardworking, safety-focused CDL drivers who don’t mind getting their hands dirty and take pride in solving problems out in the field. If you enjoy independent work, staying active, and being part of a team that values safety, reliability, and growth opportunities, this could be a great fit for you.

What You’ll Do

As an Outside Grease Technician Night Shift, you’ll service commercial grease trap systems for major restaurant and grocery accounts. Every day is different — from locating and uncovering grease traps to pumping systems, troubleshooting issues, and helping customers keep their operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Safely operate vacuum trucks and equipment at customer locations
  • Drive to and from job sites while following all DOT and traffic regulations
  • Pump, clean, and maintain commercial grease trap systems
  • Inspect grease traps for buildup, damage, or safety concerns
  • Troubleshoot issues and communicate findings with customers and management
  • Prepare trucks, hoses, tools, and equipment before service calls
  • Complete service paperwork and reports accurately and on time
  • Respond to emergency or after-hours service calls when needed
  • Follow all Wind River Environmental safety and service protocols
  • Wear required PPE and work safely at all times
  • Participate in on-call rotations, overtime, weekends, and holiday work as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid CDL Class A or B license with an acceptable driving record
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience (after CDL school)
  • Ability to pass DOT drug screening, medical certification, road test, and physical exam
  • Comfortable working independently and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer and mobile device skills
  • Ability to read maps, safety documents, and service instructions
  • High school diploma or GED required

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on, physical role. Candidates must be comfortable:

  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Lifting, bending, climbing, and working around grease and wastewater systems
  • Working around truck equipment, hoses, pumps, noise, and non-hazardous fumes
  • Working night shifts and extended hours when needed

Pay & Benefits

Starting Pay: $26.00–$28.00/hour + overtime opportunities and quarterly bonus potential

We offer a strong benefits package designed to support you on and off the job:

  • Competitive hourly pay + overtime opportunities
  • Quarterly safety bonus program
  • Step Program advancement opportunities
  • Company-paid Smith Systems defensive driving training
  • Company-paid DOT medical card renewals
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Employer-paid life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid holidays and generous PTO package
  • Company-paid uniforms
  • Annual safety boot stipend
  • Employee discounts on services in your area
  • Career growth opportunities within a growing company
